Antique English Settle Bench with Hymnal Drawers

Large, late Victorian oak English settle, circa 1900.  Hand carved "poppy head" finials grace the ends and solid, oak, tongue and groove boards span the back. The drawers are a more recent modification, created by a previous owner to add storage space for hymnal books. The interior of the drawers are clean, solid and slide smoothly. The brass knobs and numbers  make the additional organization and storage space quite charming.
