Books: History & Antiquities of Dorset, 4 Volumes

Deep blue, large, leather bound volumes, written by Reverend John Hutchins. Originally published in 1774, this 3rd edition was printed in 1861. Volumes contain an extensive history of the town in South West England. Includes over a hundred lithographic plates, beautifully illustrated maps, estates and genealogical tables. Book spines are firm and in tact.

Each book measures 10" wide, 16" tall, and 3-4" thick 

Note: some loss on the edges and corners of the front covers, including peeling or worn bits of leather (see pictures). Some faint discoloring of pages and mildew spots scattered throughout.
