Regency Era Silk Embroidery of Flowers, Framed

An exquisite example of early 1800s needlework, still preserved in it's original gilt frame! Most likely English or French. The pale blue silk is embroidered with a detailed basket of flowers, and topped with a small ribbon. Fine needlework that brings soft color and texture to a wall. Sourced in the Cotswolds. Small areas of loss in the silk where it's been stitched back together, as well as on the edges of the frame where the gesso and wood substrate shows through.
